“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
—Hebrews 11:1
ADVENT means "to come" and it traditionally represents A TIME OF PREPARATION.
Advent originally began as a Winter Solstice Ceremony where candles were lighted around a wheel to celebrate the return of gradually lengthening daylight. The later Christians adopted it to honor the en'light'enment brought by the birth of Jesus.
IN UNITY, we understand that the CHRIST BIRTH is the birth of realization of the CHRIST SPIRIT inside EACH ONE OF US.
We will share in this journey by looking to FAITH, PEACE, JOY and LOVE this month to prepare the way for the birth of Christ Light or Christ consciousness. We’ll explore how our soul interprets the events of this sacred path of Mary and Joseph as they said YES to GOD and the precious birth we celebrate at Christmas.
“When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, ‘Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.’… And to the centurion Jesus said, ‘Go; let it be done for you according to your faith.’ And the servant was healed in that hour.”
—Matthew 8:10 - 13
Explore the power of faith to heal as we share in the messages of FAITH found in the Centurion’s story and the story of Mary and Joseph this Sunday. FAITH prepares us to know and proclaim the TRUTH of CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS no matter what it appears we must endure or barriers we must cross through to achieve this Divine fulfillment.
Prayer:
O, God of All, we know you as the One Presence that fulfills all needs and desires. We are grateful for your Light and the gift of a FAITH that sees beyond appearances and knows your Truth that all is unfolding according to your Divine Plan and All is Well. We know in you we are able to BE peace and love in the midst of the unknown. Thank you, God for a faith that frees. Amen, Alleluia, and Aaaah, Yes!
