Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry at Unity of Chandler honors a long tradition of "going to headquarters" as Charles Fillmore described his communion with God. Unity was founded from a Prayer consciousness that healed co-founder Myrtle Fillmore of a terminal malady. Silent Unity, the Prayer division of the Unity movement, has been in continuous Prayer for over 100 years. We feel our connection with the spirit of God and we enhance that connection through Prayer.

The Prayer consciousness is supported in many ways at Unity of  Chandler.  We begin with prayer and we end with prayer. We have vibrant Prayer Chaplaincy Program. We support an E-mail Prayer circle and a Prayer request box located prominently in the Sanctuary. These request for  Prayer are also forwarded to Silent Unity where they are held in Prayer for 30 days.

Prayer Chaplains are available before and after service for one on one prayer. They visit hospitals and homes to pray with compassionate hearts. They pray with the people who request prayer on our telephone prayer line. They hold what is shared in the strictest of confidence. Wellness or spiritual enrichment calls are made each month by the Chaplains to their individual groups. Prayer Chaplains pray in the service staff and pray out the Congregation each Sunday.

Do you have what it takes to become a Prayer Chaplain?

Praying with other is the greatest spiritual experience one can have on this Earth. The nature of affirmative Prayer connects you with the Divine as you two or more connect in prayer. Prayer Chaplains are committed to their spiritual growth and thoroughly grounded in Unity Principles.

A new Training retreat will occur in January 2013.  Please contact us with questions or if you are interested in joining the prayer team!
